Man, it's been a while... .____.

Mon Mar 9, 2009, 5:54 AM
Bleh. Another semester. Just thought I'd give anyone who cares an idea of what I'm up to instead of posting pixel pieces like I'd like to say I've had the time to work on...

This should be my last semester if I pass all of my classes. I'm taking 19.5 credit hours just to finish before summer, because screw waiting all the way until fall or possibly winter just to take one last course.

Two of the courses are pretty important to me--I'll be working on two separate projects, one for each. One will be in 2D(my little secret known as "Fat Money Cake" to my close friends and instructors), and one will be in 3D(quite probably a commercial for my new job at Penguin ([link])). So, I'll probably be posting progress shots here and there.

Speaking of jobs, I no longer work at Babies "R" Us, instead, I am now the whitest girl ever working at a chinese/japanese kind of fusion food court joint.
...I'm the cashier because my English is the best. >____>;;
But I'm happy there. Ethan, John, Conny, and Jia Jian(Joseph) are great.

Aaaaaaaand, last but not least, I won't be going into too much detail on this, but I am very hopefully going to be working with Alex Ahad([link]) and Less Than Three <3 Studios on Project Skullgirls. It would be nice to work with them even part, if not full-time as a sprite cleaner/animator. But I won't get ahead of myself.

Other than that, I'm still on a bit of a high from seeing Watchmen at midnight on Thursday, and the time change is messing with my head. >___<

A Night With Don Hertzfeldt--And a General Update

Wed Oct 29, 2008, 8:11 AM
Last night at 7:30pm, I had gone down to the Dundee Theater(my area's local art movie theater or whatever you want to describe it as) to view Don Hertzfeldt's part two to "everythingwillbeok" titled "i'msoproudofyou" as well as his other works. Then afterward was a Q&A then autographs because he was actually there!

It was an exciting night, and I would've gotten a picture if I hadn't already felt bad for holding up the autograph line by asking him to sign two dvds, my sketchbook, and a poster for my animation instructor. xD;

-----

Anywho, life as been a clusterfuck of busy. Hence the lack of deviations except for those two hilarious sketches and monstrous picture of myself.

Though, I have been itching to pixel. D:
I miss it. So, I'll open to freebie "gifts" if anyone wants to leave me a note with some inspiring stuff--website avatars, oc's, etc. ;D

Give me more of a reason to turn on my computer than to just check my email!

Ho'shit, Guiz. Ho'shit.

So, like. Tomorrow, I'm leaving for San Francisco, CA to visit my sister and my new baby niece. I'm not only freaking out about the trip and how fun it's going to be, but I do believe I'm freaking out harder about what I just discovered--a present on the dining room table from my uncle.

My birthday is in about 8-9 days, and all of my family got together for a party for 'me', when I do believe it was for all of us kiddos with summer birthdays, since there's a total of five out of seven that do.
Anywho, I was working so I couldn't make it. And I just noticed the present from my uncle on the table as I was petting my cat. So, I go ask dad if it's okay if I open it since my birthday isn't for another week. He says, "Whatever," so I open it, and it's an iPod Nano. A freaking iPod Nano. xD

I've never had anything this expensive given to me for my birthday. Granted, my uncle likes to get expensive things, then give them to me--like my PS2, Laptop, and almost car.

I'm having some fun figuring out how the hell it works, since I'm too much of a tard to know. xD

It's just amazing, though. I didn't know I was the favorite. >w<

Sorry for not being too active as of late. Haven't really had the time to do any art. D;

But Zach has a new desktop computer from his dad that I'm hoping my tablet is more compatible with, so maybe there'll be more hand-drawn stuff added to my gallery. ;D

Just wait. I'll update deviations eventually. >_>;

Flipbooks are weird.

Thu Apr 3, 2008, 8:25 AM
So, I'm currently enrolled in a 2D Animation class, and our current assignments are to use note cards to make flipbook animations.
The first was just a basic bouncing ball across the page, making contact with a 'floor' at least twice.
The second is a bouncing ball ' perspectively ', meaning that we have to make it large and up close bouncing away and getting smaller or visa versa.
And the third was to start with a circle, turn it into something, then have it turn back into a circle without just doing a ' forward/backward ' animation loop.

Oddly enough, I'm having severe troubles with these assignments because I'm not good at the traditional 2D Animation style of drawing something, and flipping between that page the next to make the next drawing. ._.;

In conclusion: Flipbooks are weird.
